The Fireman
|
Large scale Duratran Triptych installed in the windows of Lux Gallery in 1999 as part of the Olay Vision Awards. At night the windows became a giant lightbox, during the day visitors to the gallery entered a space in which the images cast stained glass shadows onto the floor, while viewers could look through the transparent Duratran material of the image to glimpse life on the street at Hoxton Square. The Fireman uses stock photographs from PhotoDisc's "Big Business" portfolio to imply a narrative. A City financier seems to be engaged in a clandestine meeting with another man in a suit in an urban location. |
